New Beginnings…

The momma dove has decided that the empty flower pot that hangs closer to the house has more shade.  She’s moved her house to this location for her latest brood.

On my way out the door yesterday morning, I noticed she had eggs in her nest and to my amazement they were hatching!!!

I was lucky enough to have my point and shoot camera with me. I’ve cropped these in pretty close and apologize for the quality, but I’m sure you can see the little ones poking their way into the world.

Put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.

Are you kidding me?? These are adorable shots. Don't put your pics down. BUT I do have one question for you. Are you really sure you saw Elephants in Phoenix? Sounds like a fun morning. Seriously, it has to be early or it just isn't going to happen. I feel for all of us right now. This job is fine but it's interferring with my enjoying the reading, writing, exploring experience:) I wish we could play all day out and about. Mourning doves are so much stronger than any of us. They seem to weather the worst and still survive. An incredible bird.

LOVE IT, Magpie! Your photos are great--as you can also see. You are so full of ideas, it tells me you are a Peep who is

With monologue yet!!!

What great timing. I love catching bird pictures. These are lovely.

A lot of the headstones in the Cardston cemetery have the children's names engraved on the back too. An interesting custom.

I'm also hoping that as the days go by you'll be fortunate enough to steal a few more pics of the little birdies!

How lucky you are to have seen this and that you were able to capture it! Now the work begins, feeding those hungry yellow mouth chicks. And you get to watch!
