Sunday Greg and I took Star to the Goodyear Dog Park for her first visit. In retrospect, we should have chosen another day when there weren’t so many dogs at the park. It wasn’t an entirely satisfactory outing, but we hope next trip with work better.
Star was very well behaved and started out doing really well. There was a very aggressive male there named Bo who just couldn’t play nice. The encounter set her back and she didn’t get comfortable again until after Bo left and this really nice Airedale named Chief showed her how a gentleman should treat a lady.
I think all in all the dogs were better behaved than some of the “owners” who obviously didn’t go there to monitor or interact with their dogs. But we’re not ready to give up on the dog park yet. We’re going to take her back some evening when there won’t be so many dogs there.
Public Service Announcement: Please pick up after your dog while in a dog park. Others don’t appreciate the little (and sometimes not-so-little) presents your pet leaves behind.

What a great day to go to the dog park! That Chief sure has long legs.
the weather looks beautiful...bet she had fun...at least once the bully was gone...
Cool! I'm glad Star got to take a "road trip".
I love dogs! I don't always love their owners...
Hope the next visit goes even better.
