How lucky can you get????

My oldest brother, Glen, lives in Tucson and has been featured on my blog as a guest photographer.  In one of the shots from that post, there is a bobcat up in a tree in his backyard.  It is one of a pair of kittens that were taking a stroll with their mother that day. That was back in May of 2010 and this year things have gotten even more interesting.

these two little cuties.  Can you imagine!  They live in a den under his garden shed.  These two are quite a bit younger than the ones he saw before. Some people have all the luck!!

He’s trying to not be too invasive about his picture taking so that the momma doesn’t move them somewhere else.  I’m looking forward to several more pictures in the future. I’ll be sure and share them with you.

That would be so much fun to watch the kittens growing up! They are beautiful animals.

Don't know why my picture didn't post. I had to delete it and start over. We were going to be gone and I had it scheduled to post but didn't check it before we left.

Actually the earlier bobcat pics of kittens were taken in mid-August 2008 -- how time flys! There was a pair that time also.

Yes, they were a bit bigger but they were about 8 weeks older too.

We have been wondering if this momma cat might have been one of the 2008 kittens.

They played for over an hour yesterday evening in the grass and were having a great time. I took all my shots in about 10 minutes and then left them to play.

The mother is very tolerant and I avoid crowding her at all. I have a concern that when the kittens get a bit bigger and roam further from Mom -- what will happen if they approach me. So I’m thinking my photo opportunities may be limited in the very near future.

Cute, yes, but still wild animals. I think Glen is wise to limit his photo-taking time, both for his own safety and for the bobcats'.

Okay, I know there's LOL, but is there AOL? Because I totally "Awwwwwwwww"ed out loud!

These cuties remind me of my dad's cat Luci, who is half bobcat and half housecat. She has the little ear points and stubby tail and polydactyl front paws. You'd think she'd be a little toughie, but no-- she lets the other household cat, half her size, walk all over her.
