I started reading to Nicole before she even knew what reading was all about. Her favorite bedtime story was the beautiful “Guess How Much I Love You” with the little nut brown hare. But as she got older, we both loved rhyming books. One of my absolute, forever, all-time favorites was “Pigs Aplenty, Pigs Galore” by David McPhail. If you ever have the chance to read it to someone you love, DO. You’ll enjoy it as much as they will.
“Pigs from England,
Pigs from France,
Pigs in just
Their underpants.”
And these guys are not “pigs” but javelinas that Annie and I enjoy watching at the cabin….which brings to mind another book Nicole loved called “Don’t Call Me Pig!” about these stinky fellows.

Better see them from behind a window because when you see them in town it means they are Hungry and not pleasant at all...
I'll check on the book.
Wow, we certainly don't have wild pigs-- oops, I mean javelinas-- around here! I'll have to check out "Pigs Aplenty, Pigs Galore" for my kids. Their favorite piggy book is just called "Piggies" by Audrey and Don Wood. The illustrations are so much fun!

They look so cute but, I guess they can be quite destructive. Two years ago I stayed at The Boulders in Carefree for a conference and saw lots of these guys out at dusk foraging on the golf course.
Sorry to be obtuse but are they wild?
I'd never heard of them, they look a bit like wild boars, don't they?
They are NOT as adorable as they look!
You had some great wildlife photo ops up in the pines!
I am going to check out the Piggie book. I know I will love it.
We had a pig we named Grunt and he was such a pet----until we learned we were going to EAT him. Life goes on. MB
