Bounty of the Backyard….

Yesterday and today, I just took quick strolls around the yard to see what I could see.  Here are a few shots.

DSC_0004 In case you didn’t spot the surprise hiding in the middle, here he is….

These red roses in the sunshine are always so challenging to get what I consider a good shot of….there’s something about the red. It glows almost…neon like.

DSC_0001  This is today’s shot….and here is yesterday’s….not really happy with either one.

The garden is yielding up carrots, green onions and the radishes are coming along nicely….

Well, I need to get up from this chair and get out and take my daily walk.  The sunshine feels  great this morning…it’s a cool 56 degrees out there.

Wow, you have carrots! Pretty soon you won't need glasses. :-)

There's so much spring in your step these days!

Are those radishes in the last picture? They're doing good whatever they are. I pulled up a bunch of carrots the other day and threw them out. I don't even like carrots all that well so why I ever planted them I'll never know.

I think your rose shots are very pretty. I too find it difficult to photo a red rose. So I just stick to pink!

Tracy - If only that were true!!

Brian - Write us something about your garden when you get inspired. I would love to read it.

Chris - I was down yesterday, but have "sprung" back up with the help of my friends. :)

Kathy - I don't like cooked carrots very much, but love them raw. Yes, those are radishes - my husband loves them. I have more leaf lettuce starting and I need to pull out the last of the spinach from the fall. Perfect weather this weekend for gardening.

Oh to have such a green thumb! I haven't had luck with a garden here in AZ but back in VT I had no trouble at all. Nothing like growing your own produce :)

It's funny how certain colors just don't hold true. They are still beautiful.

Spring has sprung, the grass has rizz!
