Sixteen long, yet short, years ago….

Yesterday was Nicole’s Sweet Sixteen birthday.  She is so much a validation of all I hold important.

She is still so young and sweet….she isn’t rushing growing up and I’m very thankful for that.

She and two of her best friends went bowling to celebrate her special day.  Kayla and Nicole.

The bowling alley was playing music and videos from the 80’s.  I couldn’t believe how much of the music the girls knew and really loved.  They were dancing and singing to the likes of Madonna, Billy Joel and John Cougar Mellencamp.

The dreaded shoes….

Nicole and Brittany.

After they had a blast bowling, we went to our favorite Mexican food restaurant and flirted with the waiter….okay, they flirted…not me.

This sweet young lady rocks my world!!!

You are truly blessed to have someone so special to walk in your footsteps! (My daughter went bowling for her birthday this year too ~ but she was 39!) And if you think I believe that cockamamie stuff about not flirting with the waiter ~ hey, I've been around the block a time or two myself!

Hope your holidays are merry and full of laughter and love!

Happy Sweet Sixteen Birthday to your daughter Nicole! I see she loves the color purple; my daughter does too. Bowling and Mexican food sounds like the perfect way to celebrate. :)

Regarding your comment on my blog----I get it but if it is corny wouldn't you want butter and not mustard or catchup. Bwahahahaha!!! MB
