When it was finally light enough to see outside this morning (and I had finally crawled out of my soft, warm bed), I discovered we had a blanket of fog.
It was early enough the camera wanted to use the flash, so I let it.
I ventured out again later and took a second set of pictures. For those of you who have this all the time this may seem naive, but everything is wet outside. I’m sure the plants are loving all this moisture.
It’s not raining, but the trees are so wet they’re dripping.
FOG
The fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.
Carl Sandburg
Maybe our fog came in on little coyote feet….

I loved the fog this morning. It was a nice change for us. It makes it feel more like Christmas. xxoo
fog is pretty cool...makes the word mysterious...
I like Brian's comment about fog being mysterious. That's a wonderful adjective for the phenomenon of fog and your photos do indeed have a certain quality of mystery.
Adorable poetry and the fogy gave beautiful sceneries for your pictures!
Congratulations!

Rain, Fog!! what's the Southwest coming to. One of my favorite poems by Sandburg and one I've always remembered. MB
