Sometimes I have a habit of turning my camera on it’s side. Tracy has always giggled at my tendency to do this.
But sometimes this position relays more about what I’m feeling or thinking when I’m seeing my subject matter.
In other words, it just looks better to me.
It gives more impact.
(I knew I should have moved that stick out of this picture before I took it. I sometimes struggle with my OCD perfectionism and my “leave it like you found it” mind frame)
So no matter what your perspective on life is, I hope today is balanced and happy.

Clever and creative connection in these images, I'm always enchanted by your ideas!
The last composition is awesome, I guess my favorite of the day!

I do the same thing and your pictures show that it really is a good idea for quite a few scenes. I also do it for portraits.
Your boot comment made me laugh!
nice...the cactus and the arrow are both really awesome shots...and hey whatever it takes eh?
I think your sense of balance and composition is perfect on all of these. They look like inspirational posters and I feel happy looking at them. :)
I do about 50/50. I wish my day was balanced and happy too. Maybe yours will be balanced and happy enough for both of us! And maybe tomorrow I can return the favor!
It's just because I'm used to short and fat. :-)
My day was a little unbalanced and frustrating but I know the week will get better. Love the cactus shot!
Our day was certainly less balanced than your pictures which are fun. Following one's instinct is the way to go.
I like tall pictures and use them quite often - depends on the subject. My day is already unbalanced and it's only 2:43 am. I have such a miserable cold it's impossible for me to sleep.
