The day that Tracy and I went out to Estrella Mountain Park and didn’t have much picture taking luck….well at least I didn’t….I did come home that evening and play with a different lens.
These are all straight out of the camera with only some occasional cropping. They were all done in very low light with my 50mm lens.
I love the softness and how blurred the backgrounds are. I know there’s a word for that, but for the life of me I can’t remember how to spell it right now. Tracy will let us know.
This is the true color of the Lady in Red that I posted about earlier in the week. And the oranges are spot on too.
I love the sharpness at the edge of the petals, but then the watercolor look to the leaves. I had fun!!

Isn't that something? Sometimes we don't have to go on a road trip to find those photography moments. I love your closeups....really nice shot of the orange flowers.

BOKEH! That lens has incredible bokeh and you used it well!
I haven't used my 50mm lens in ages. After seeing these pictures, I am going to dig it out of the bottom of the camera bag.
These are so beautiful. I love the last shot too.
Gorgeous! With picture subjects like these at home, whoever needs to go out!
Wow, these are really beautiful, I love them all!
This is one of the BEST parts of today, the photos are beautiful, the colors! What God hath wrought--grin! And your loving nature this much is inspiring.
Bur Magpie, you know what--to me--is THE beast part of today? It is that YOU ARE HAVING FUN doing this fine work. You are presenting to us God's creations, which we might have (HA!) missed!
STAY THE COURSE!

Great shots. I like doing close-ups when my macro wants to work. It sounds like you have a pretty nice camera with different lenses and all. Maybe someday here!! LOL
It does look very dry and I hope you get some gentle rain and not a gully washer. MB
