When I picked Nicole up from school the other day, we stopped at the new bridge that crosses the Gila River south of Highway 85. She crosses it everyday in her bus on the way to school and here lately it’s actually had water flowing under it. I didn’t seem to get any good pictures of the water, but it was muddy and dirty anyway. The bridge itself is kinda cool though.

It has nice sidewalks down either side with places that jut out over the water. Some of them have benches to sit and rest or just enjoy the view.

There was some really neat artwork along the sidewalks. I guess they intend for the bridge to be a home to bats. Maybe I’ll go back at sundown to see if any bats do live under there.

You didn’t really think I could get by without taking a picture of a flower somewhere along the way, did you???

I really love the first photo of the bridge with the mountains in the background. I guess you should try taking a photo of it again in the night; with those streetlights shining, it'll be brilliant.
Lovely! I love the bat artwork. If you find any bats, you think you might ship me a few so I can move them into my bat house? :)

I have never been to this area. And if it has bats, I will probably never go. Although it looks like a pretty cool bridge. I will just live vicariously through you!
